Google Play and Android
screenshot sizes

Google Play does not organise screenshots by display class the way the App Store does. It asks for an envelope: JPEG or 24-bit PNG, each side between 320 and 3840 px, and a long side no more than twice the short side. Of these three, only 1080 x 1920 fits that last rule; 1440 x 3120 (QHD+) and 1080 x 2400 (Full HD+) are the shapes of current phones, and the canvases the Pixel 11 Pro and Galaxy S26 Ultra frames are drawn to, for artwork that is not going to the Play Console. For the upload itself, use the 1080 x 1920 canvas with no frame: Google's highly recommended guidance lists device imagery among the elements to avoid in Play screenshots, so the Pixel and Galaxy frames are for your website, ads and press kit.

Exact dimensions for the Google Play

Working at this size

Play shows the first screenshots in a horizontal strip, so a set with a consistent background colour reads as one product. Export every Play screenshot at 1080 x 1920, which also meets the 1080 px, 9:16 minimum Google asks for before it will feature a listing; mixing sizes makes the strip uneven.

Export these sizes free

Every dimension above is a preset in the editor, exporting at those exact pixel values so nothing comes back rejected for being the wrong size. Exporting is truly free, not free to start: unlimited exports, no watermark, and no account needed to download.

Questions

What size are Google Play and Android screenshots?

1440 x 3120 pixels, 1080 x 2400 pixels, 1080 x 1920 pixels. Any one of those is a valid upload for this display class. Landscape is the same dimensions turned sideways.

Do I need an account to export Google Play and Android screenshots?

No. You can build a set and download it without signing up. Exports are unlimited and carry no watermark, and every size is free: the optional Pro plan adds AI features and custom fonts, never a size.

Will the export be accepted as-is?

The pixel dimensions will match exactly, which is what the store validates first. Exports are flattened PNGs in the RGB colour space, with no alpha channel, which is the format both stores accept.
